The British Aisles

 60 Years a Queen!

I received a "hot tip" today that there's now
(on this side of the Pond)
 at Cost Plus World Market.
So this afternoon, I made a mad dash and hit the
"British aisles"

 Long May She Reign

I spotted the Queen Elizabeth II tea mug right away.
Cost Plus did a nice job with this lovely Jubilee keepsake mug
and it's hand finished in the UK.

 Devonshire Cream

Nothing goes better with tea and scones than Devon Cream!
I'd already stocked up on this tea party necessity
and can't wait to see if it tastes as good as
Devon Cream in England!

 Digestives Anyone?

It's always nice to have digestives on hand
in case some "pops" over for a cuppa!

 Scottish Tea Cakes

I've spotted these cute little Scottish tea cakes by Tunnock's
in Emma Bridgewater's Diamond Jubilee photo styling.
I bought them awhile back for the Jubilee Weekend...
but they didn't last a day in our house!
They are "ooey-gooey" good!
Best way I can describe them is, they're  like a chocolate,
marshmallow covered biscuit.

 Scottish Shortbread

Well, the Queen loves Balmoral Castle, Scotland and her Corgis
so these little Scottie Dogs are perfect for a Jubilee Celebration!
They're not Corgis but they're sure cute!

 Spot of tea?

What's your favorite cuppa?
There's plenty of good British brand tea
to stock-up on in the tea aisle.

I enjoyed visiting the
British "aisles" today but left empty handed since I'm already
stocked up for the big Jubilee weekend.
It was fun to see a Diamond Jubilee display though
on this side of the pond!

Raise the Buntings!

Celebration Time!

Every Diamond Jubilee celebration needs a
and I've got mine!

Whenever I travel to England
I love seeing Union Jack buntings everywhere
from the "quaintest" tea rooms to the most regal "high street" shops.
Last year in England, I almost bought a Union Jack bunting until I read the package and saw that is was out-sourced and made in China.  I just couldn't bring myself to buy it.  I'm so glad I didn't buy it because I recently discovered a brilliant bunting shop on Etsy called,

The moment I saw Betty and Barclay's buntings,
I knew the owner had to be British.
Sure enough she is and Carol James is a retired Brit,
now living in France.
When Carol's not busy sewing her adorable buntings
she's out scouring the French countryside for vintage treasures
to sell in her other Etsy shops,

Betty and Barclay

Since most Americans are not that familiar with buntings
I asked Carol to explain what buntings are and tell us a bit about her buntings.
Here's our chat:

Carol, can you explain what a bunting is and how they are used?
CJ)  Buntings originated in Suffolk, England in the mid 1800s and were traditionally used by the navy for signalling purposes and even today the ship's officer in charge of communications uses flags known as a "bunt".   As time went by the flags then moved on to being a decoration for boats and yachts with colors being red, yellow, blue and green. Buntings then became popular with patriotic celebrations, moving on to home party decorations and now today to being home decorations for use all year...celebrating or not!
I had not thought of hanging bunting myself until last year when I was hosting a family birthday party.  It was October, full of the colors of Autumn and so I decided to hang two of my "fall buntings' and seven months later they are still hanging because I find them most cheerful and mesmerising...maybe it's time to change to summer ones?

How did you become interested in making and selling your signature line of buntings?
CJ) Just over a year ago my niece was getting married and commented that she would like to have bunting but it is so expensive....I like sewing so thought I would make her some as a surprise. I looked on the Internet and was surprised at just how expensive buntings can be so thought I'd have a go at trying to sell some.
One of my first buntings was my Nautical Navy and White Stripe Bunting.   I thought as bunting has its origins with a naval theme this would be a good one to start with and it has become my most popular bunting...I don't know exactly how many I have sold but I have used about 50 yards of fabric now so it is quite a lot!  Three orders have been for "nautical themed" weddings and my nautical buntings have been featured in over 100 Etsy Treasurys.

Do you have any tips on how to decorate with buntings?
CJ)  In my experience, I always think that buntings look better when hung in a space as opposed to being flat against a wall...say from one wall to another across a corner, not flat against the wall.  The uses for buntings are endless but I always say that "less is more" if you choose colors correctly.   You don't need loads of bunting to make an impact in rooms where you might need a lot of buntings.  For example, say if you were going to fill a marquee for a party, decorate a shop, a tent stall, across a street, etc.  then certainly bunting with spaces in between the flags is so much better...not so much like shark teeth!  Also, fewer flags are needed and the cost of the banner should be less expensive.  I've made all sorts of buntings from a New York fashion show with 300 yards down to a string of five little flags for a baby's  room.  I make many customized buntings which is always a pleasant challenge!

Because I always have to ask, are you a tea drinker?  If yes, what's your favorite "cuppa"?
CJ)  Yes, I am a tea drinker...although since living in France I have become a coffee drinker, too.  Coffee or tea, it has to be made in the correct way.  Coffee is always freshly percolated and I am still experimenting and trying new flavours and densities.  But tea, well I'm English and have always been a tea drinker.  I have English Breakfast in the morning and in the afternoon Earl Grey.  Tea is most definitely the most refreshing drink...only in a cup and in a pre-warmed pot!
Love that!

Betty and Barclay

Who are Betty and Barclay?
CJ)  Betty and Barclay are the names of my vintage Teddy Bears!
Barclay was found at an antique fair in England.  He was under a stall with his head in a polythene bag...we had to rescue him!  A year later we found Betty with a broken neck and torn ear...another rescue and a mate for Barclay!

Carol, what a pleasure getting to know you
and "thank you" so much for taking the time to chat about buntings.
I can't wait to get more of your buntings for other celebrations!

Go Red for Women!

Collection Amelie

Tomorrow is
will you be a lady in red tomorrow?

I love this cause Go Red for Women
for the fight against women's heart disease.

I've been racking my brain
what I can wear tomorrow to show my support.

Then, it dawned on me...
I have a "tres chic" accessory set
that I picked up in Paris in 2003,
my Lancel Amelie purse and scarf set.

Lancel
127 Avenue Des Champs-Elysees
Paris

I fell in love with the Amelie Paris map print collection in a French magazine
one night at our hotel in Rue Cler.
The next morning,
I asked the nice desk clerk where I could find the collection.
So that morning,
before leaving Paris,
we made a mad dash to the Champs Elysees
and the Lancel boutique.

At the  Lancel boutique
I couldn't speak French and the Lancel sales clerk didn't speak English.
Somehow we managed and I came home with the
limited-edition Amelie handbag and scarf...
and we made it to the airport on time!

I think tomorrow is a perfect day
to bring them out of my closet.

Red is Lancel's trademark color, afterall!

(The photo of the Lancel boutique on the Champs Elysees
is a recent photograph from our May 2011 trip...
I just love the Brigitte Bardot billboard.)

Mes Confitures

  Christine's Confitures

She's French.
She's the daughter of fourth-generation bakers and pastry makers
and she knows a thing or two about jams and jellies.

She is...
jam maker extraordinaire Christine Ferber
and her book Mes Confitures
has inspired me to make jam at home again.

 La Grande Epicerie Paris

On my visit to Paris in May,
I was on the look out for Christine's jams and jellies.

If you're a foodie...
there is nothing like stepping into
I am like a kid in a candy store every time I visit and
Christine's jams in their pretty red packaging were easy to spot.

I wanted to bring home some of Christine's jams but didn't chance it
due to the TSA 3oz guideline for carry on liquids.

 More Jam, S'il Vous PlaĆ®t

The next time I go to Paris though,
I am going to buy Christine's jams when I first arrive and savor them
on croissants from Boulangerie Malineau.

In the meantime,
I am inspired by her book and her unique flavor combinations.
Her book is divided by the seasons.  I like that.
Since it's fall, I'm experimenting with her recipe called
Andree`s Orchard Quince Jam.

Instructions are a bit brief in the book, so I do recommend
reading up on jam making, if you need to.
Christine even advises in the book,
"With time and practice, you will refine your own technique."

 Orange Sanguines

Christine also says,
"A batch of jam is always an act of creation!"

I can't wait to create more of her recipes like:
Orange with Earl Grey Tea,
Pear with Pinot Noir and Cinnamon
and
Vineyard Peach and Pear with Grand Marnier.

Dehillerin
18-20 rue Coquilliere, Paris

And of course,
if you buy her book,
you'll probably want to buy "the pan"...
a French copper confiture pan
like Christine always uses.
I did.

Only at Macy's

 Karl Lagerfeld for Impulse

I love designer collaborations with main street department stores.

I think designer extraordinaire Karl Lagerfeld's
collaboration with Macy's is probably the best one yet!

Karl Lagerfeld is one of the world's greatest fashion legends.

Today, he is probably best known as
Chief Designer at the house of Chanel
but he wears many hats!

 A Little Black Dress

If you've ever wanted to own a little black dress by Chanel...
here's your chance.  While this is not a Chanel dress,
I just can't help but see Coco's influence in this design by Karl.

This chic black dress is available in-store and online in the
Karl Lagerfeld for Impulse collection at Macy's.
It's a limited edition collection.

I saw Karl's collection at my local Macy's a few days ago
and the racks still have good stock.
Surprisingly, I don't think many fashionistas know about this collection yet.

While the dress looks nice on the rack,
it's gorgeous on a beautiful model...

 What Would Coco Think?

Ooh,la,la...

I can't help but wonder...
what would Coco think?

Miette

Lemon Cloud Cake

Miette is the French word for crumb.

Miette is also the name of San Francisco's most charming pastry shop!

I was in "the City" last weekend and had to stop by Miette for a macaron fix!

Sweet Treats

I've adored Miette from the moment I walked up to the macaron counter a few years ago
in San Francisco's Ferry Building Marketplace

When you visit Miette in the Ferry Building, you'll feel as though you are in a tiny Parisian candy shop.  I love all their sweet treats and their pretty Laduree green interior.

More Cake Please

Miette has something to satisfy every one's sweet tooth.  Their counter case is filled with cupcakes, tarts, cookies, cakes, macarons, candies and confections.

My standard order are their Parisian macarons.

I love looking at their beautiful cakes in their online shop.  I've longed to order a Miette cake for my birthday sometime.  Maybe this year I will visit "the City" and pick one up or better yet....
I can make one now!

The chef/owner of Miette, Meg Ray has just shared her baking secrets in her new book,  Miette.  It's an adorable book, just like her shop!  I adore the unique design of the book with its pretty scalloped pages.

Parisian Macarons

Can't get to Paris...
and need a macaron fix, too?

Well, you can now make your own Parisian macarons right at home.

All you need are the right tools and Miette's new book.

In the book there are recipes for eight different flavored macarons.  Merci, Meg!

Miette also offers classes throughout the year, too.  Sign me up!

Lemon Tea Cake

Tea and cake please!

Miette's Lemon Tea Cakes look delicious and perfect for when a friend "pops" over
for a visit at tea time.

Miette's tea cake is a buttery lemon pound cake, topped off with zesty lemony icing. Luckily for us, Meg has included the recipe in the book so we can make it at home.

I can't wait to put the kettle on and serve this cake to a friend with a good "cuppa"!

Walnut Shortbread Cookies

I couldn't help but "spot" these cookies in their adorable packaging.

These Walnut Shortbread Cookies look perfect for keeping on hand in the biscuit barrel!

Again, luckily for us...
you can find this cookie recipe in the book, too.

Miette Patisserie

When you visit San Francisco be sure to stop by Miette
 at the Ferry Building Marketplace.

Just look for the pretty pink sign!

PS:  You can also pick up baking supplies at Sur La Table in the Marketplace, too.

An Afternoon to Remember

 Tea Time with Amy

I spent an Afternoon to Remember last week with Amy Lawrence.

Amy Lawrence is the owner of An Afternoon to Remember.  She formerly operated that popular tea room in Newcastle, CA and now specializes in selling her fine loose teas from her new home in Seattle.   Amy was back in Northern California for several special events...all tea related, of course.

I attended Amy's talk on the Health Benefits of Tea held at my favorite local antique store, The Antique Trove in Roseville, CA.

 Amy Lawrence

Amy's talk on the Health Benefits of Tea was very informative.  She began by saying

"all tea is good for you!"

Amy's talk included not only the health benefits of tea but also a lesson on all the different types of teas.  All true tea must come from the Camellia Sinensis plant.  I was amazed to learn that there are over 3,000 teas in the world.  Looks like I have a lot more teas to try!

Amy was wonderful in giving valuable information on how to properly brew and steep the different types of teas.  I've been trying to drink more green tea these days and have found that sometimes my Sencha tea is a bit bitter.  Now I know why.  I was using boiling water and steeping it for 4 minutes.  Amy says green tea should be made with 180 degree water (not quite boiling) and only steep for 3 minutes.  I've been following Amy's advice now and my Sencha tea is no longer bitter.  Thank you, Amy!

Afternoon to Remember Teas

Amy loved having her tea room but she says now "she is really just into tea"!

She is an avid tea drinker and personally enjoys exotic teas from around the world.  One of her favorite places to visit is Red Blossom in San Francisco where you can find a tea for $400.00 a pound!  While I have never had tea that expensive, I certainly agree that once you have enjoyed the finer teas in the world...there's no going back to tea bags!

When you have a chance, check out Amy's online store.  It's filled with over 120 fine loose teas.  I'm currently enjoying her Duchess Anna blend.  It smells divine and  this black tea is flavored with coconut creme, strawberry, kiwi and blue flowers.

Amy says Creme Brule is her number one best seller.  Amy graciously gave me a 1 oz. bag of Creme Brule for one of my lucky readers to win.  To enter my little Afternoon to Remember contest, all you have to do is visit Amy's online store and make a comment on this blog post which two teas of Amy's you would love to try and why.  I'll put all the entrees in a teapot and select a winner on next Tuesday, January 25th.

Only one entree please. The deadline for comments is Monday, January 24th and be sure that I can contact you via your comment or leave an email address in your comment.

Tuesday 1/25/2011:  I have a winner....Congratulations to Annemieke for her lovely comment on Afternoon to Remember teas.  Your Creme Brule tea is on it's way to you!

Bling!

Bling
Everyone needs a little holiday "bling"!

Forget the mall crowds, I'm doing my best to shop local and shop small businesses first.

Today I ventured over to Old Fair Oaks Village to hit the boutique shops during this weekend's Christmas in the Village.  Thanks to some savvy lady shop owners there's a fabulous new feel to Old Fair Oaks Village.  Some of my favorite shops there rival my favorite boutique shops in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Here's a peak inside my favorites:

Bungalow

I discovered Bungalow this past summer thanks to a tip from another local vintage store, The Tattered House.

Last week I received an invitation to Bungalow's Open House this weekend and couldn't wait to get there.  I was hoping some pretty hand-crafted flower pins would be still be there.  Luckily for me they were.  They went home with me so now I have some holiday "bling" to wear on my hand-knit scarves!

I love this store.  Owner Kim Panighetti really has panache and flair for displaying Bungalow's fabulous vintage finds.   Her store is tastefully filled with gorgeous French furniture and heavenly mirrors that I wish I had room for.

When you stop in, I'm sure you'll be amazed like me.  There are little surprises everywhere you look.  It makes you wonder where on earth does she find such fabulous stuff.   And then the way she displays it..don't miss this store!

 Wink

Just a few shops down from Bungalow is the not-to-be-missed boutique Wink.  Wink is owned by Laurie Newman Pinho, a second generation antique store owner.  I've purchased from Laurie over the years from her early days in a Placerville antiques shop and her former hip boutique Fringe in Sacramento.  I stumbled into Wink this summer and couldn't wait to go back.

Wink is filled with lots of bling and my favorite kind....earrings, earrings and earrings.    Laurie carries a variety of unique jewelry lines along with my favorite, La Vie Parisienne.   I can never resisit La Vie Parisienne earrings so yes, I came home with a pair of holiday "bling" earrings, too!

The fun part about Wink, the inventory is forever changing.  Today Wink was featuring some incredible garden statuary that looked like it came from an old English or French garden.  Visiting Wink is pretty close to visiting a real French Flea Market...it's always filled with romantic French finds!

 The Estate Lady's Shoppe

Topping of the block on the corner of Fair Oaks Blvd is the newly opened The Estate Lady's Shoppe.

The Estate Lady is just that...an estate lady.  Owner Joy Zgola Bullard is an estate sale specialist.  She actually does estate sales.  She has filled her store with a wonderful assortment of antiques ranging from Victorian, French and English.

I couldn't help but admire her beautiful holiday table top display.  Joy has set the table for a festive mood with a collection of red English transferware.  I had a chance to chat with Joy and discovered we both share a love and passion for collecting china.  Joy is excited to showcase her china and will be doing seasonal table settings featuring estate china.   And, yes, it's all for sale!

Tea Time with Jane Austen

 Tea with Jane Austen

"You must drink tea with us tonight."
from Sense & Sensibility

If I could take afternoon tea with anyone from the past or present,
it would have to be Jane Austen.

Jane was a tea drinker.  Tea was an important part of Jane's daily life in the Regency era.  Did you know that Jane was even the keeper of the keys to the tea cabinet in her Chawton home?  Her mother and sister Cassandra were key keepers, too.  Back in Jane's day, tea was precious and stored in a locked tea caddy or cabinet.

If I could invite Jane to tea, I would open my tea cabinet and introduce her to Earl Grey.  Earl Grey is one of my favorite teas and it was not a tea blend until well after Jane Austen's (1775-1817) life.  I think Jane would like Earl Grey tea or better yet...Lady Grey!

 Jane Austen at Home

Now this is a shop that Jane herself would love...not just because of it's name but because of it's merchandise.  Just look at its wonderful display of blue and white china under lock and key in a creative exterior display.

On a recent trip to Carmel-by-the-Sea I discovered a tiny and quaint antique shop called Jane Austen at Home.  It's a charming shop filled with lots of tea cups and china.  I had a lovely chat with the owner of the shop.  She lived in London for many years and has a great sense of British style which shows throughout her tiny shop.

 Tea Time China

Jane Austen at Home is filled to the brim with china and other fine English antiques.  On my trip there I noticed some lovely lusterware, Emma Bridgewater, Cath Kidston and antique British pottery.  It's hard to find Emma Bridgewater and Cath Kidston china on this side of the Pond so, of course, I had to treat myself to a tea cup purchase.  I'm sure Jane Austen would approve.

Taking Tea with Jane

Wouldn't it be lovely to go on a Jane Austen tea tour in England?

Well, last week I was at Crown & Crumpet in San Francisco and got the inside scoop from owner Amy Dean about Crown & Crumpet's Springtime Tea and Toast Tour next May in England.   Amy was like a tea kettle boiling over with all her enthusiasm about the tour.

According to Amy the tea tour will have a real Jane Austen feel to it. Amy is putting the finishing touches on the tour and potential Jane Austen stops are Hampshire and  Bath where Jane Austen lived.  Amongst many other fabulous tea events, Amy has a very special Pret-a-Portea tea for fashionistas at London's Berkeley Hotel planned and the Chelsea Flower Show wraps up the tour.

Amy lived and worked in England and met her British husband Christopher there.  She certainly has fabulous British connections (Amy even worked for Emma Bridgewater and is friends with Cath Kidston).   I'm sure her tea tour will be as delightful as her tea room.

Now I just have to find a way to go on the tour and then I can really have tea with Jane Austen.

***For information about the Crown & Crumpet Tea Tour visit their website and sign up on their mailing list.

Tea Cup Bangles

 Tea Cup Bangle

What will you be wearing to your next tea party?

How about a Tea Cup Bangle?

China Cabinet Bracelets

Leave it to Anthropolgie to discover this clever tea cup idea!

I was in the city yesterday for afternoon tea at my favorite San Francisco tea room Crown & Crumpet.  After tea my friends and I headed over to Union Square for some holiday shopping.

I always love "popping" in Athropologie stores.  They are always filled with fabulous inspiration.  I was excited to see their China Cabinet Bracelets in person since they had caught my eye online

I love this clever tea cup design but after trying one on, I passed on purchasing it.  The bangle seemed a bit heavy to wear.  I think I would also be afraid of chipping it, too.  Hmmm...it could be cute just to wear to special tea parties though.

If you want a Tea Cup Bangle...you better hurry down to your nearest Anthro store because they are already sold out online.

I'll probably regret that I didn't buy one!

Mulberry for Target!

 Had to Have It!

I adore British High Street fashion!

I just found out a few days ago that there is another British fashion invasion at Target.  This time it's Mulberry

I am normally "in the know" and one of the first shoppers to hit Target when a British Design collaboration launches at Target.  Somehow the Mulberry brand snuck by me.

Luckily I saw a Mulberry for Target handbag in a magazine the other night and hit my local Target the very next day.

 Nearly Sold Out!

I was so disappointed when I arrived at Target just a few days after the official Mulberry launch only to find the shelves just about empty.

Being the determined shopper that I am...I hit a few more Target stores.  My mission... to snag a Mulberry Pink Leopard Bag.

Mine, Mine, Mine!

Mission accomplished!  Luckily for me...
I finally found the bag I wanted after visiting four Target stores.

For those in the know...leopard is the "hot" print this fashion season.  I normally don't go for pink but I just know this bag will be a real head-turner!

A real High Street Mulberry bag like their Bayswater model  (made in leather) would sell for around $1,200.00  to $2,600.00 depending on the print.   Knowing this, I am now a fan of pink leopard and love my High Street knock off bag for Target!

So if you want to be carrying some British Mulberry style this fashion season,

I suggest running not walking to your nearest Target store.

You just might get lucky, too!

We have a winner!

Drum Roll Please...

Liberty of London Reusable Bag

Only two dedicated readers entered a comment for my contest give-away of a Liberty of London Reusable Bag. I have decided to reward both readers and give them each a Liberty of London Reusable Bag.

Here's what the winners had to say about the bag:

Annemieke: I didn't realize Target still had Liberty of London. Being the new Cali girl that I am I am always looking for new reusable bags for my shopping.

Ruth: How pretty! If anyone could find such a lovely reusable shopping bag, it would be you!

Congratulations ladies and thank you for being a faithful readers of my blog! Your bag is on the way!

Love that Liberty!

Liberty of London Reusable Shopping Bag

Okay, by now it's pretty obvious just how much I adore Liberty of London prints. Since it's summer, I am still trying to get my fix of Liberty's flowery prints.

Check out what I found shopping today...this adorable fold-up Liberty of London For Target Reusable Shopping Bag! It's the only little 'bit of Liberty left at Target, if you're lucky enough to find it!

Liberty of London For Target

This eco-friendly shopping bag has been pretty hard to find for Liberty of London fans like me. I was so thrilled today when I found it! I love that it folds compactly into a wallet shape and fits nicely into your handbag.

This bag is a flat shopping bag (book bag shape) made in 100% polyester. Based on its shape and size it wasn't designed for holding groceries. It's a great little bag though for toting home small personal sundries like cosmetics, magazines, cards, etc.

Reuse to Reduce

I love Liberty's Sixty print which is the pattern on the bag. It reminds me of my mod bedroom wallpaper I had back in the early 1970's! I also love that Target will give you 5 cents off every time you use a reusable bag!

Now for the fun part, you know I couldn't buy just one bag so...you get to enter my contest to win your very own Liberty of London For Target Reusable Shopping Bag!

All you have to do to enter is: leave me a comment on this post with your name and email. I will randomly select a winner within a week and post the winning comment. The winner will then need to get in touch with me to give me your mailing address to receive your bag. One entry per person, please.
(Contest Closed on July 13, 2010. Thank you to those who entered.)

Liberty Flower Power

Liberty for Target Print Scarf

Did you know...they're going, going, gone now? Yes, the Liberty of London limited edition scarves have sold out online in both the USA and the UK. And this week, the remaining Liberty scarves and accessories went on clearance in the stores.
Since I am a Liberty fan I have been watching the stock at all my local Targets since Liberty hit their shelves in mid March. In my opinion, the Target Liberty frenzy got off to a rather slow start. It seems that only true-blue Liberty fans rushed out to grab some of Liberty's flower power at Target during those first few weeks.
Liberty's on Clearance Now

Initially, I was pretty excited to grab some Liberty "flower power" style at Target prices. I stocked up on some pretty fab stuff. Then rather quickly my Liberty "buzz" wore off. I loved the designs of all the Liberty for Target range but just wasn't jazzed about the quality of the goods.

So...I opted to keep several scarves, a Poppy tote bag and a mod dress (ooh, can't wait to wear it to tea in London!) from the Liberty for Target range. Now I have Liberty style and it didn't break the bank!

Liberty Flower Power
Now that the Target campaign is winding down, Liberty of London is launching a Flower Power campaign in London with a season of floral fun! Liberty is celebrating London's Carnaby Street's
50th Anniversary with a special range of products and events around the store...all with fab 1960's style!

Poppy & Daisy Liberty Scarf

So check out this pretty floral scarf available in the new Liberty Flower Power range. The scarf above by Prova for Liberty only has a price tag of $310 UK pounds. Yep, you red that right! Suddenly my Target Liberty scarf at $14.99 doesn't' look so bad! Perhaps I should run back out to Target and grab a few more!
